A March & Celebration to Support
the President’s Bold Gun Sense Initiative

What: Delaware County United for Sensible Gun Policy is organizing a celebratory public expression of support for our President’sexecutive action to expand background checks on gun sales and other common sense steps to make our communities safer.  We will march with balloons, colorful banners, eye-catching signs, and flags flying. We will make joyful sounds with bells, drums, and human voices!  After the march, we will gather for a Celebration with cake,music, and fellowship.

Why: We need to demonstrate strong and enthusiastic public support in Delaware County for the historic action taken by the President.  We need to represent the overwhelming majority of Delaware County residents who support comprehensive background checks on gun sales.  We need to send a message that the people of Delaware County will be Gun Sense Voters in 2016. We need tocelebrate this victory and come together as a strong, unified, growing movement.

Schedule:

1:00 PM:  Gather at Media Friends Meeting House, 125 West 3^rdStreet in Media
1:00 PM to 1:30 PM: BRIEF program with speakers supporting the executive action
1:30 PM to 200PM: 1.0 Mile March through Media on Baltimore Pike & State Street
2:00 PM to 2:30 PM: Return to Media Friends for Celebration
